Motorcycles
As a young kid I always had a fascination with motorcycles. There are home movies where I cruised around the house in Huggies with my arms in the air making motorcycle noises. When I had my first job after college I bought an old motorcycle and started fixing it up to be road worthy. The process was more than I thought but it taught me electrical wiring, fixing planetary gears, carbureted air fuel mixtures, and patience in aesthetic design. I learned not everything that looks great is ergonomically functional and retrofitting modern parts to 30 year old machines often requires fabrication. In order to build bikes that function well and looks sleek I learned to weld, paint, and simplify through patient detail work.Â
