Metalwork

Starting with a coal forge made out of an old Weber grill, I learned how to heat and shape metal into useful tools.  I spent my Saturdays taking scrap metal to kitchen knives with old hammers and stacks of sandpaper.  My vision began to outpace my tools and I had to adapt the process along the way to get the kind of results I pictured in my mind.  To get more consistent shapes I started using hand tools to make consistent and detailed work. During quarantine I spent my days filing metals to get precise bevels, heat treating steel, and shaping hardwood handles into  aesthetically pleasing tools that would last for a lifetime.
